What does rooting an android mean ?

ROOTING is a process that allows users to attain the root access also known as privileged control which gives users the administrative permissions to change and modify the operating system and its settings.
The stock ROMs in smartphones and tablets which are customized by manufactures to some degree has many limitations.Generally stock ROMs are pre-loaded with lots of apps that reduces both the performance and battery of our phone.By getting the root access you can simply remove these apps which are generally marked as the "system apps". Rooting allows users to execute commands which are unavailable to the devices in stock configuration.

Some advantages of rooting :

• Rooting gives full control of CPU and kernel.
• Ability to modify system setting and uninstall the pre-loaded apps.
• Ability to install a custom ROM with more features than the stock one.
• Helps to update the android to latest version in those devices that doesn't supports automatic updates from manufacturers. 
• You can also customize your device so as to provide better speed and performance.

These are only a few thing that can only be achieved through a rooted device.As rooting an android has making advantages it has some disadvantages too.

Disadvantages :

• Rooting can void phones warranty (Depends upon the manufacturer, devices can also be unrooted but some devices have a switch which flips and when you root your device and is very hard to revert it back.)
• It can brick your phone.There is always a small risk with flashing that your phone can be bricked.To brick your phone is to break it during flashing or other acts which makes it just a piece of hardware without any drivers to work properly.(This can be fixed easily if you have proper knowledge)

computer tips : shutdown timer trick for windows 7

In this tutorial i'm going to show you a simple trick that shutdowns your computer after a desired time.
follow the steps given below to activate the timer.

STEPS:

1.  Open Start menu and  type CMD in the search box. Right click on CMD and run as                administrator.
2. Type shutdown /s /t 3600 and Enter.
   
   
                        Note : 3600 are the amount of seconds before your computer shuts down.
                                  So , 60secs*60mins=3600secs Means 1 Hour.

   
   
3. Windows will display message about shutting down in 60 minutes.
4. That's it .

TO ABORT :

1. : open CMD and type shutdown /a To make an abort and stop the shutdown timer.
2. A message will be prompted that the scheduled shutdown has been cancelled.

In this tutorial i'm going to show a simple trick that is known only to few people and you are going to become one of them. Everybody knows that ms paint is application that is used to edit images but it can also play videos.
If you don't believe me try it yourself, just follow the steps given below:-

STEP 1: Open Ms Paint and minimize it.

STEP 2: Open your video player and start the movie which you want to play in MS paint.

STEP 3: Now press print screen button on your keyboard.

STEP 4: Reopen ms paint and press ctrl + v.

STEP 5: That's it now enjoy your favorite movies in ms paint

This only works in ms paint and for the movie to play in Paint the video player should not be closed or paused in the player.
